The Poetry of Beer

What would seem to be a tongue-in-cheek half-joke turns out to be one of my more inspiring destinations on a regular basis: Beer Haiku Daily.

Take this little gem as an example:
My glass sits empty
the beer nut bowl is a void
No one knows my name
The inspiration, not surprisingly, is the complete first season of Cheers.

Is there a more fitting subject worthy of haiku than beer? Doubtful.
Is there a more succinct, elegant form able to capture both the complexity and simplicity of this beverage? Absolutely not.

Cheers to Captain Hops for helping me read my requisite five poems a day!
